EXTERIOR
This 1956 Plymouth Belvedere sport coupe, one of 24,723 produced, has been restored to near show-quality, yet still boasts it's original interior. The exterior is without body blemishes or rust, and the odometer rating of little more than 16,200 miles is believed to be accurate.
This Belvedere two-door hardtop has undergone light restoration and has been repainted to nearly show condition. The body seals were replaced, and the original chrome was redone at the time of the restoration. The glass and windows are in excellent condition, all lighting works as it should, with a clean undercarriage.

POWERTRAIN & CHASSIS
This Belvedere is fitted with Plymouth’s 268.8-cu.in. OHV V-8, which was called Polyspheric in Plymouth parlance, making it the equivalent to Dodge’s Hemi. With a compression ratio of 8.0:1 and a Carter two-barrel carburetor, the engine was rated by the manufacturer at 180 horsepower when new. This Belvedere’s engine, believed to be original to the car, has been modified with an aftermarket four-barrel carburetor atop a Weiand intake manifold, plus a dress-up kit, and is believed to have been rebuilt. This restomod starts without smoke, with no functional issues with the three-speed manual transmission or overdrive. The date of the Belvedere’s most recent chassis service is unknown. However, the components are in good condition, and there are no issues with either the manual steering or manual drum brakes.
